Freedom In Christ Alone
I am compelled today to write about the freedom that we all personally have in Christ. It is freedom of which we should embrace with all of our being, and part of the inspiration for this blog was that somehow, God would set other captives of Babylon free through my testimony and writings here.
It is a blessing to have the sort of fellowship I now embrace in the Lord. A fellowship based in the love of Christ and the fellowship of his people. It is a real fellowship which isn’t building based or denominational, but based in the fellowship of Christ and Christ alone.
Think about the freedom you have in Christ today, it is in any way being hindered by anyone, or anything? Do you truly have freedom in Christ, or is legalism, traditions, or anything which isn’t mandated of you by the scriptures being pushed as a rule to follow? Do you feel a yoke upon your shoulders of which you cannot bear?
Abide in the Vine, seek the Lord while he may be found TODAY, and tap into the freedom you have in Him, not to sin and go against his will, but to do his will, and glorify him. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
I will leave you today with the words from the scripture, and the inspiration for this blog and every topic I will place here:
John 8:36 (NIV) – So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
