Zachery Tims – Some Background on Recent Events in his life and Death

My heart is heavy as I write concerning the recent death of the well known Televangelist and Preacher Zachery Tims, who was recently found dead in the W Times Square Hotel in New York City. The media has reported that there was a “white powdery substance” found in his pockets, and he was found lying face up on the floor of his hotel room. What make this more tragic is that he was only 42 years old. Read the rest of this entry »

You Left the IC, but has the IC Left YOU?

Posted in False Beliefs about Attending Church, False Beliefs about Church Leavers, False Beliefs About The IC, Healing Series, IC Doctrine and Practices tagged , , , , , , at 7:05 pm by Set Free Indeed

Deleting this blog out of existence was certainly on my mind concerning recent events in my life. Why do you ask?  Mainly because I have became flabbergasted recently concerning the behavior of some of those who have claimed to have left the Institutional Church (IC), YET are exhibiting the same ways, practices, and tactics, of those they negatively speak of. They left the IC but the IC hasn’t LEFT THEM. We do the same things we accuse those in the institution are doing. I have personally forgotten my first love, and for that I am in deep sorrow. Yes I was extremely angry, not with you Nikki, but with Chuck Smith. I was FURIOUS at the advice you were given. Read the rest of this entry »

Freedom In Christ Alone

Posted in Healing Series, Uncategorized tagged , , , , , at 5:40 pm by Set Free Indeed

I am compelled today to write about the freedom that we all personally have in Christ. It is freedom of which we should embrace with all of our being, and part of the inspiration for this blog was that somehow, God would set other captives of Babylon free through my testimony and writings here. I’m in a lighthearted mood today, and while perusing through my daily range of internet articles, I ran across this article by a woman named Deborrah Cooper entitled: “The Black Church: How Black Churches Keep African American Women Single and Lonely.” Another article talking about the plight of the poor, useless, neglected, bottom-of-the-totem-pole-of-women, no-one-wants-her….. BLACK WOMAN. (I Kid LOL) Read the rest of this entry »

Do Church People Hate You?

Posted in Healing Series, Videos tagged , at 3:44 am by Set Free Indeed

Have you found that many of the members of the church you attend hate you? They don’t want to fellowship with you, they gossip and slander you, they mistreat you, and worst of all you can’t think of any valid reason as to why they treat you like their worst enemy? Maybe your church is full of goats who are enemies of Christ, and therefore become your enemies by default. Read the rest of this entry »

Dealing With Residual Anger

Posted in Healing Series tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , at 3:31 am by Set Free Indeed

Finding out that the institution formerly known as “church” has taken you for a ride can make even the most even tempered Christian among us ready to fight! I can tell you from experience that it’s OK to be ticked off about being lied to, but it is NOT OK TO SIN. I pray that this blog will help my brothers and sisters in the Lord find some comfort, not taking your frustrations with the institution and it’s practices out on the sheep who attend them and may not understand just yet where we are coming from.
